Summer Camp 2008

Three weeks of educational workshops, games, crafts, cooking, and more!

Come on Over…To the New Jersey Museum of Agriculture. The right mix of fun and learning is why our camps are strides ahead of the rest!

Farm Fun Camp
Dates: July 14-18, 2008
Time: 9 am - 4 pm
Age: 6-11
Cost: $250 for General Registration
$225 for Museum Members
Extended Care Available

Have a week of old-fashioned farm fun! Activities include arts & crafts and field trips. Field trip destinations include historic farms and a "Pick Your Own" fruit or vegetable farm. Kids will also visit the farm animals on the nearby Cook College Farm.

Earth & Nature Camp
Dates: July 21-25, 2008
Time: 9 am - 4 pm
Age: 6-11
Cost: $280 for General Registration
$252 for Museum Members
Extended Care Available

Campers will learn about the world around them during this fun and educational camp experience. Instructors from the Children of the Earth Foundation (please visit their website at www.cotef.org for information on their mission and teaching philosophy) will teach primitive skills such as cordage, fire starting, and plant identification. Field trips are essential to the hands-on approach to learning and fun. Appropriate clothing and footwear will be required during this week.

All About Horses Camp

Dates: July 28- August 1, 2008
Time: 9 am - 4 pm
Age: 8-11
(State law mandates that children must be at least 8 years old to ride on horse trails.)
Cost: $310 for General Registration
$279 for Museum Members
Extended Care Available

Discover the magic of horses! Campers will experience two days of horse riding lessons and two days of grooming and training lessons. Appropriate clothing, footwear, and helmets are required for this camp

Don’t Forget Extended Care!
Extended care is available for all camps at an additional cost of $60 per week for mornings and evenings. Morning only (8-9 am) is $25 per week. Evenings only (4-5:30 pm) is $40 per week.

General Camp Information

The New Jersey Museum of Agriculture is conveniently located off Route 1 on College Farm Road at the entrance to the Cook Campus of Rutgers University.

• Siblings
• Registering for two or more camps.
• Rutgers University Faculty, Staff, and Students. Valid ID is required.

Please dress your child appropriately for the weather. We will spend part of the day outside. Please notify the Museum of any special needs your child may have. Activities subject to change without notice.

A snack and drink are provided each day but you must pack a lunch for your child.

WE ARE A PEANUT FREE CAMP!

Enrollment is limited, so please register early! The deadline for Summer Camp 2006 registration is June 27, 2008.

A non-refundable deposit of $75 is required for each camp with the balance to be paid in full by June 27, 2008.
